There are always inherent challenges when it comes to managing multiple federal contracts, as well as disparate systems and conflicting network teams. Migrating all contracts into one procurement vehicle can be daunting for any agency, but particularly so for the Department of Defense (DoD) given the criticality of the mission. Fortunately, the Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) contract vehicle helps address these challenges in a unified manner by offering a wide-range of IT, telecommunications, and infrastructure services for true digital transformation.
However, making the move to EIS is not as difficult as it may seem and the move to an omnibus contracting vehicle can reap long-term strategic benefits. Carole Byers, Managing Director, Program Management Office, Defense and National Security at Verizon, shared her insights on the value of using the EIS contract to help fuel the Department of Defense’s digital transformation activities.
