In this episode of my Come to Jesus series, I unpack a major shift in how I think about music: as something that can either heal the soul or pull us deeper into confusion, despair, and spiritual disorder. I share how my journey through prayer, Gregorian chants, and surrendering more fully to Jesus changed the way I listen to songs, lyrics, repetition, and the emotional states music can create. As someone who spent decades as a DJ trying to raise people’s energy through sound, I reflect honestly on the tension between music as connection, beauty, and uplift—and music as something that can also hypnotize, reinforce darkness, and shape what we allow into our minds and hearts.I also talk about discernment, spiritual warfare, and why I’ve become much more intentional about what I consume—not just in music, but across media, entertainment, and everyday thought patterns. I share personal stories about times when certain songs deepened my pain rather than helping me heal, and why I now believe we have to be vigilant about what we put on repeat internally and externally. My hope with this conversation is to encourage you to pay attention to what draws you closer to God, what pulls you off course, and how choosing love, prayer, and surrender can bring real peace.✝️ Get the 11x LOVE Masterclass for FREE https://djvalerieblove.com/11xlove ~ Join the LOVE Tribe for FREE!https://djvalerieblove.com/community~ Thank You for Supporting the LOVE Mission! https://djvalerieblove.com/donate~ SUBSCRIBE TO THE PODCASTYOUTUBE: https://www.youtube.com/@djvaleriebloveWEBSITE: https://djvalerieblove.com/podcastFOUNTAIN.FM: https://fountain.fm/show/761jhxFiibErm7eZZdltAPPLE: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/dj-valerie-b-love-podcast/id1441540841SPOTIFY: https://open.spotify.com/show/6kZfzFZ3wKmWiljDajrJZ5?si=a9433473b06f464bRSS: https://serve.podhome.fm/rss/4996bcea-e098-5a89-ac63-af7a3df7cb5d~ FOLLOW DJ Valerie X: https://x.com/djvaleriebloveNOSTR: https://primal.net/djvaleriebloveFACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/djValerieBLoveINSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/djvalerieblove/LINKEDIN: https://www.linkedin.com/in/dj-valerie-b-love/  (00:31) Introduction to music as medicine and poison(01:51) Gregorian chants and a personal come to Jesus moment(03:44) Questioning spiritual music and industry influence(07:22) Music, repetition, and the idea of spells(09:51) Order, discernment, and guarding the mind(14:35) How dark music deepened personal suffering(19:26) Choosing music that leads toward God(22:52) Spiritual warfare and resisting cultural drift(27:41) Discernment even within Christian music(30:02) Final encouragement on surrender and healingThe Bible (Bible Gateway): https://www.biblegateway.com/RAVE JESUS: https://www.ravejesus.com/DOJ Epstein Library / Epstein Files: https://www.justice.gov/epstein
