This week, Reed and I finally got the livestream working after a couple hours of pre-show audio chaos, which felt oddly fitting for a podcast about building in public. Once we were up and running, we talked about the show starting to find its lane: less rehashing old Podcasting 2.0 talking points, more sharing what we’re actually building, what’s breaking, and what seems worth exploring in real time.A big part of this episode was the idea I’ve been working on for a cross-app favorites layer using Nostr and Podcasting 2.0 GUIDs, so favorite shows, episodes, albums, and playlists can move with you between apps instead of getting trapped in one player. Reed connected that to what he’s building with OnlyBoost and the 40 HPW leaderboard, and we dug into how public boost data, discoverability, and small value-for-value communities can reinforce each other. We also talked about why lightweight web apps, DIY podcasting, and niche community shows feel more exciting right now than polished but closed platforms, especially if listener feedback can directly shape what gets built next.Podcasting 2.0: https://podcasting2.org/Podcast Index: https://podcastindex.org/appsPodverse: https://podverse.fm/Fountain: https://fountain.fm/Boost Me Bitch: https://www.boostmebitch.com/StableKraft: https://stablekraft.app/Podcast Guru: https://podcastguru.io/Castamatic: https://castamatic.com/BUTT (Broadcast Using This Tool): https://danielnoethen.de/butt/Helipad: https://github.com/Podcastindex-org/helipadZapstore: https://zapstore.dev/Wisp: https://wisp.mobile/Local Bitcoiners: https://localbitcoiners.com/Open Markets Podcast: https://play.fountain.fm/show/8aujy1pUxhDKcm0fHcsM/episodesOshi / OshiGood: https://www.oshigood.us/V4V Music: https://v4vmusic.com/Lightning Thrashes: https://v4vmusic.com/s/22
