Michael Dominick on Twitter — Runs #Linux @system76 tested and kitten approved! #HPDevOne. My boy has asked to learn #Minecraft modding. Why wouldn’t I teach him on @pop_os_official
Senior Oops Engineer on Twitter — github copilot is incredible. it just sells code other people wrote, but because it's an "AI" it is apparently allowed to launder that code without it being a "derivative work". lol. lmao. what an amazing grift.
GitHub Copilot and open source laundering — GitHub’s Copilot is trained on software governed by these terms, and it fails to uphold them, and enables customers to accidentally fail to uphold these terms themselves.
Mosh: the mobile shell — Remote terminal application that allows roaming, supports intermittent connectivity, and provides intelligent local echo and line editing of user keystrokes.

why has it taken me so long to start listening to this podcast? i listen to a number of other JB shows, which i love. im a sysadmin by trade but coder by education. maybe you could throw a short segment into office hours to do a quick runthru of all the JB shows to help spread the word? and so you dont have to guess, 4720 because 472 was my first episode. keep it up guys!

I am weary af anything that can use licensing against its users a la Copilot. It seems super bad that an AI can just grift code from users to sell. Time to move to another git instance perhaps?

Regarding Vim...it's still a solid choice today, especially with Neovim! No surprise is listed as the most loved IDE in stackoverflow developer survey. Speaking of...have you thought about reviewing the survey? Thanks for the shows!

Giving you the last of the sats I’ve earned so far from promoted clips and shows on Fountain. Love earning/giving away sats, it feels like trading marbles as kids. probably going to focus on a membership for now, I cannot add my membership feeds to Fountain, which keeps it from being a perfect all in one solution for me. That and I cannot get enough of the live show bootleg recordings. Keep up the incredible work. Maybe I will get enough sats to send in a tribute to my much loved 6502 processor.
