In the Bay area of San Francisco, nearly 93 percent of the population have no relationship with Christ. Such statistics might seem extremely disheartening or overwhelming. But our guest, Brett Butler shares on how God has given him a call to reach this group. In the next five years, he's asking God to start 500 new churches – one for each zip code in the area.During the show, Brett discusses the importance of abiding or resting in Jesus and how that plays out in his ministry. He also talks about his salvation story and how God gradually brought him to a relationship with Him. This episode is full of conviction, hope, and strength as we hear about God’s movement in the world. Reaching 93% might sound impossible, but God has an amazing way of doing more than we could ever imagine. What we talked about00:24 – Episode Summary01:51 – Introduction02:13 – How did God capture your heart?03:57 – The process of discipleship05:39 – How does your testimony form your ministry?07:20 – Meaningful verse10:26 – A pivotal point of revelation11:50 – What has God been teaching you?13:59 – Foundational Missions Leadership MomentSubscribe to the FX Missions Leadership Moment Podcast15:20 – Taking the Gospel to the 93%19:24 – Kingdom growth principles from the Bible25:06 – What fuels your passion?27:37 – Things you wish you would have known30:55 – Through Christ we have hope32:50 – Next week on Engaging Missions35:00 – What you do matters in the Kingdom40:20 – Internet and book resourcesT4T: A Discipleship Re-revolution by Steve Smith (qualifying purchases benefit Engaging Missions)41:06 – How can we best pray for you?42:51 – Training in order to grow45:50 – Stories from MongoliaGet a copy of Brian's book (qualifying purchases benefit Engaging Missions)49:37 – Understanding MuslimsGlobal InitiativeResourcesResources & Contact InfoT4T: A Discipleship Re-revolution by Steve Smith (qualifying purchases benefit Engaging Missions)The Church as Movement – Woodward, White, & Hirsch (qualifying purchases benefit Engaging Missions)Facebook: @SanctuaryBayCAWebsite: SanctuaryBay.orgSkype: bblexkyAdditional ResourcesGet a free copy of Brian Hogan's book (qualifying purchases benefit Engaging Missions)Global InitiativeGlobal Initiative's Resources for reaching MuslimsMentioned in this episode:Consider Partnering with Megavoice Audio BibilesMegavoice provides solar-powered audio Bibles to make the Good News accessible to all.
